Our traditional stretched canvases are our most famous product.

The type of joint is basic for the realisation of the stretcher: our kind of joint is realised according to the Tuscan tradition and assures precision and resistance to torsion. Stretcher strips are connected with an angle of 45° on the side where the canvas stretches; so, in case of expansion, the canvas is perfectly stretched. On the back the stretchers cross with a 90° angle, ensuring a perfect framing.

The wedges, realised in hard wood, have a very acute angle which helps to regulate the canvas tension.

The canvas stretched on these stretchers is set on the edge by studs which offer a better tightness: they are also zinc-plated to be more resistant to oxidation.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

The measures of stretched canvases vary from 18x24 cm to 100x150 cm. Each canvas stretched on these stretchers is universally primed, so that it fits all pictorial techniques: oil, acrylic, tempera and mixed technique.
