The canvas is specially produced for the P.E.R by some selected Italian textile industries on the bases of specific needs. The priming is done by P.E.R with exclusive artisan methods and all natural ingredients. The LEONARDESCA is available in two different finishes: oil and plaster. .
The oil priming is made with linseed oil as a binding agent. Here oil colours will find a better base for attachment because they merge perfectly with it. This priming is very lightly absorbent and let the brush flow with extreme case achieving very delicate nuances. It is suitable mostly for portraiture but also for every other technique.
The plaster coating has glue of animal origin (rabbit) as a binder. It is very absorbent and permits a perfect blending of colours (oils, acrylics, tempera or water colours).
